•Application and performance
– The ball-drop assembly is designed for multi-stage hydraulic fracturing
and presents a compact version of the well-head equipment for safe drop of the balls under high pressure. The proposed assembly provides automatic and remote drop of the balls that improves the total rate of multi-stage hydraulic fracturing and minimize errors.
– The assembly enables installation of 2 separate balls. When there are more than 2 balls are required the assembly may be built up. Each ball is dropped remotely by a pneumatic drive from an automatic control panel. The assembly is equipped with an indicator to show the balls’ drop-off and a signal light on the control panel. The balls can be activated automatically as well as manually.
