•Rubber substance based on ethylene copolymer, propylene and diethenoid monomer (EPDM) of grade “E”
EPDM (green code). Temperature range from -30°F to +230°F/-34°C to +110°C. Recommended for operation with hot water within specified temperature range, also together with some diluted acids, air with no oil and many other chemical substances. Referred to category UL according to ANSI/NSF 61 for cold +86°F/+30°C and hot +180°F/+82°C drinking water supply.
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR OILY MEDIUMS.
•Nitrile of grade “T”
Nitrile (orange code). Temperature range from -20°F to +180°/from -29°C to +82°C. Recommended for operation with oil products, air, oil products saturated with vapor, also with mineral and vegetable oils within specified temperature range. Operation is not allowed with hot air of temperature +140°F/+60°C, and water of temperature more than +150°F/+66°C.
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR HOT WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS.
Gasket (due to its design) is a binder between pipes sections and ensures reliable tightness of pipework connections. In case of proper installation the coupling and the gasket becomes an integral part of the pipe.
The gasket responds to changes of pressure providing high tightness in case of the pipe internal pressure rise. Gaskets are made for standard couplings of types 07, 77, 75, 78 of connections Victaulic.
